Meet Our Team!
Jessica Parkerson is a full time veterinarian and owner of Tanglewilde Veterinary Clinic.
She grew up in the Houston area, and graduated from Humble High School in 1996. She has fond childhood memories of bottle-feeding some of her grandfather’s calves on the family’s farm in Louisiana, and she has never known a time when she did not intend to become a veterinarian. After graduating from Texas A&M with a BS in Biomedical Science, Dr. Parkerson earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in January 2004. She currently enjoys practice in primary care and surgery for young and old cats and dogs. Dr. Parkerson is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, and also holds Advanced Certification in Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine, through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.
When not at the office, Dr. Parkerson loves spending time with her family. She and her husband have 2 boys, one cat and a dog. They are frequently found at the Houston Zoo or visiting friends and family. When Dr. Parkerson is not at the office, she is still working. Last year she accumulated over 100 Board-approved continuing education hours! Her days and nights are dedicated to her family, her patients, their owners and her staff. As much as she sincerely appreciates her relationships, she might take a break to ski every now and then.

After twenty years practicing general veterinary medicine, surgery and obstetrics, Dr. Ong joined Tanglewilde as a part-time associate in 2000. In addition to getting to know her clients and building relationships, she has a special appreciation for surgical cases. Dr. Ong is not the only Aggie in her family - her children are, too (Classes of 2011 and 2013). She and her husband are kept busy with her three dogs, three cats and a rabbit. In her spare time, Dr. Ong enjoys gardening, fishing, biking, baking and participating in water sports.|
Laura holds an Animal Science degree from Texas A& M University. While Laura has been a veterinary assistant for over three years, she is currently in school earning her Registered Veterinary Technician credentials. She has a natural love for pets and has grown up with animals all of her life. She is a triplet, and has lived in Houston for over 20 years. When she is not helping your pets be well she enjoys spending time with her own critters and riding her horse. She takes pride in delivering outstanding service to each pet, every time.
Gabbi joined us this spring as she finished her Veterinary Technology degree. She will sit for her Registered Veterinary Technician boards later this year. Her favorite moments each day are meeting new puppies and kittens, and assisting in surgery. Outside of work, Gabbi enjoys catching 80’s and 90’s movies while she snuggles with her two cats and long-legged Chihuahua. She also looks forward to times when she visits her family in Alaska.
For over twenty-two years Roseanne has been making friends and looking after pets Tanglewilde’s front desk. She appreciates the opportunities to help every person feel as comfortable and cared for as possible. Roseanne’s heart for pets is as sweet as she is to our Tanglewilde visitors, too. She has had rescued Afghan hounds and parrots in the past, but these days she and her husband are enjoying the company of their two energetic cats. When Roseanne is not helping out at the clinic, she and her husband enjoy visiting with friends and family, reading, traveling and gardening.
Lee (also known as Santa Lee) has been a key staff member at Tanglewilde for over ten years, recently retiring from managing the kennels in order to concentrate on inventory control and data analytics. Lee enjoys his work most because of all the 4 legged friends he has made over the years. Lee says, “It’s really neat when a dog or cat comes in and seems to recognize me. And, of course, I have my favorites.” Lee and his wife got their first cat a week after they were married, and since then, have never been without at least 2 pets. They currently share their home with three cats; the oldes is about 20 years old! When he isn’t caring for our friends here at Tanglewilde Veterinary Clinic, Lee likes spending time with his 4 grandkids and planning for his next adventure.
For over twenty-seven years, Peggy has been an integral member of Tanglewilde Veterinary Clinic’s client services team. Although she likes to think she retired, Peggy still helps with a few of the client services we offer. It may come as a surprise, but Peggy has at least forty years of veterinary reception experience! She loves helping owners provide excellent care for their pets, and she understands the joys and surprises of being a pet owner. Peggy is also a Great Dane fancier. She began exhibiting and breeding her dogs in 1968, and has “finished” over 15 Danes herself. At this time, her family includes husband Mike, also known as the Head of Kennel, one big, domestic short hair kitty and four Danes.
